Dr. Maria Rakhshan
LICENSED CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST
Specializing in Trauma, Relationships, ADHD, Sleep, and Mind-Body Wellness
As a clinical psychologist, I help people navigate the complex intersections of emotional wounds, relationships, and daily functioning. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by past trauma, struggling to connect in your relationships, experiencing the restlessness of ADHD, or simply running on empty due to poor sleep and chronic stress—I’m here to help you find clarity, relief, and resilience.
I specialize in working with adults who want more than symptom relief; they want insight, lasting change, and tools that actually work. My approach integrates trauma-informed care, evidence-based therapies, and mind-body strategies to support healing across both emotional and physical health. I often work with women balancing the demands of career, family, and inner growth, but I welcome all who are ready to invest in their mental well-being.
My clinical interests include:
Trauma and PTSD: Helping clients safely process past events and reclaim their sense of self
ADHD and Executive Functioning: Clarifying diagnosis and building strategies for focus, follow-through, and self-trust
Sleep and Recovery: Treating insomnia and restoring rest through cognitive-behavioral tools and nervous system regulation
Relationship and Attachment Issues: Enhancing communication, deepening intimacy, and resolving patterns that keep you stuck
Whole-Person Wellness: Integrating the latest in health psychology, including mindfulness, stress physiology, and habit change
Therapy with me is collaborative, grounded, and often infused with moments of humor, insight, and compassion. I see my clients as capable and resilient—sometimes they just need the right support to tap into their strengths.

LICENSED CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST
Specializing in PTSD, Anxiety, Insomnia & Emotion Regulation
At Theia Behavioral Health, I work with adults who want to understand themselves more deeply and move through trauma, anxiety, sleep issues, or patterns that feel hard to change. Whether you’re dealing with persistent worry, the impact of past experiences, or difficulty managing emotions, I offer structured, compassionate support focused on meaningful progress.
I primarily work from a cognitive-behavioral approach, tailoring treatment to help you develop insight, build practical coping strategies, and take steps toward your personal goals. I have advanced training in evidence-based therapies, including EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Written Exposure Therapy (WET), as well as CBT, DBT, and ACT.
My clinical focus includes:
PTSD & Trauma Recovery: Using proven treatments to help you safely process the past and reconnect with your sense of self
Anxiety & Overthinking: Building tools to manage worry, reduce avoidance, and create more peace of mind
Insomnia & Sleep Concerns: Restoring healthy sleep through cognitive and behavioral strategies
Emotion Regulation: Strengthening your ability to stay grounded and respond with intention
Complex Diagnostic Assessment: Clarifying diagnoses when symptoms are overlapping, unclear, or longstanding, to guide effective treatment
In therapy, I bring insight, care, and a practical mindset. I aim to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and empowered to move forward—on your terms.
